Opposed Senate Bill 469 (Vargas) which would have, if signed, created another layer of bureaucracy in local governments and made it more difficult to bring new jobs and opportunities in communities. Central Coast taxpayers have already paid for growth and zoning plans to be developed with their associated economic and environmental reviews. Additional assessments would have been unnecessary. On October 9th, Governor Brown vetoed SB 469.
